Our MG technicians are trained and accredited by the manufacturer so you can be sure that the people who are working on your vehicle, and those who know it best. At Donalds MG we offer the complete package for all your MG after care requirements so we can be you’re ‘one-stop-shop’ for all things MG related.

MG Service Promise

All new MG vehicles need to be serviced at regular intervals. Each service should occur every 15,000 miles (or 10,000 miles for 16MY MG3 with Stop/Start) or every year - whichever comes first.

Every MG Dealer and Authroised Repairer is authorised to carry out service and maintenance work in conjunction with the terms of your vehicle's warranty. MG Dealers & Authorised Repairers now also register your service on our Digital Service Record platform, meaning that should you need to request a print off of your service history, they will be able to access your service history for your vehicle, through our national database - regardless if you have been to them before or not (proof of ownership may be required).

We also offer a Service Plan for all MG models, so that you can easily spread the cost of servicing your car over simple monthly payments.

A DIGITAL RECORD OF YOUR SERVICE
All MG Dealers should register your cars' service onto our national online database - DSR. That way we can see that your car is serviced correctly at the appropriate times and allows us or your dealer to remind you when your next service is due.

AN EXTENSION TO YOUR ROADSIDE ASSISTANCE**
When your cars' service is entered onto our Digital Service Record system by your MG Dealer, it enables us to top up your existing MG Assistance with exactly the same great peace of mind cover you enjoyed from Day 1, for another 12 months**. And all the whilst you keep returning to our network of dealers, we'll keep topping up your MG Assistance!**

Service Plans

What is a Service Plan?

A Service Plan allows customers to spread the cost of their servicing over a number of years, by paying a monthly direct debit. You can also pre-pay for your MG Service Plan in full, should you wish to do so.

What are the benefits?

• Inflation proof servicing for the duration of the plan - pay for tomorrow’s maintenance at today’s prices
• Removes large bills - The cost of the package eliminates maintenance budgeting worries
• The work is always performed by certified technicians
• Follows manufacturers servicing schedule
• Timely service reminders can be sent via e-mail or text to handheld devices*
• Only factory-authorised parts and fluids are used
• No cancellation, or plan transfer, fees.

What are my options?
Our standard service plan covers our standard schedule service regime, set at 15,000 miles/12 months, giving you the option for peace of mind maintenance for up to 5 year/75,000 miles.

However, for any new car registered from January 2021 (or vehicles less than a year old and under 10,000 miles before the first scheduled service), you have an additional option. Our new Low Mileage Service Plan is capped at 10,000 miles per year and is aimed at customers who annually complete less than 10,000 miles. this therefore reduces the need to replace some components, which may not have deteriorated with mileage and can go to their anticipated age tolerance, and therefore makes the plan much more cost effective.

What is included?
An MG Service Plan covers the replacement cost of all scheduled parts, including the labour cost. Any items which at the time of servicing, your MG Dealer advises for replacement outside of the scheduled service items (e.g. brakes, tyres, wiper blades etc.) will be at an additional cost.

Our MG parts department is stocked full with hundreds of parts for when you want them.  In addition to this we also a great range of accessories, catering for all types of models and lifestyles.

We can introduce you to a limited number of finance providers. We do not charge fees for our Consumer Credit services. We typically receive a payment(s) or other benefits from finance providers should you decide to enter into an agreement with them, typically either a fixed fee or a fixed percentage of the amount you borrow. The payment we receive may vary between finance providers and product types. The payment received does not impact the finance rate offered.
